A couple of weeks ago, I paid a visit to the Heritage Motor Museum and to Chesterton Windmill to test a new digital camera, the Canon S95. However I decided also to take along my old film SLR, a Pentax ME Super, which has been languishing in a drawer for goodness knows how many years! I got some film, a roll of Fuji Velvia 50, and was simply curious to see if the camera still worked. I did feel that the auto exposure wasn't quite right, at least compared to the digital readings, so I rather erred on the side of underexposing slightly.

I collected the CD with the images this afternoon. Rather disappointed to see they were scanned at only 2.1 megapixels, but the Velvia colours seem to have come through, particularly at Chesterton. Some of the vintage vehicles on display at Gaydon seemed to have rather strange colours- an interesting effect, all of them, but not exactly always realistic!
